Love this Set

I enjoy Grace Hill's books very much! The look into the past. Simpler, though often hard, times with integrity, respect and work ethic. Yes, they are very fairytale like in their perfect endings but then so are 90% of Movies, etc now days.
I really enjoyed the fact that this was a nice little collection of her books. So when traveling, etc. you can just keep reading one after the other if you so desire!

Grace Livingston Hill's stories, written in the early 1900's, echo back to a now foreign era where integrity and wholesomeness were the badges of the heroes and heroines. They trusted completely in their Savior and never wavered in their faith. You can almorst hear the unscrupulous ones sneer and the bold women of the day wore red lipstick and bobbed their hair.

Old Fashioned is STILL good reading!

I grew up reading these and still enjoy them! It is refreshing to be able to read clean books with...no 4 letter words. Young people are encouraged to live clean, be honest, and pursue integrity. My elderly aunt used to visit and would scour the bookshelves until she found a couple of these books to read at bedtime. Almost all of these books present God's wonderful plan of salvation. The one thing that is predictable is that the characters that seek God are the winners...and I feel that this is true in real life.
