About the Author
Bradley R. Postle is Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is Associate Editor of the Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience, and has previously served in this capacity at the journals NeuroImage and Cortex.

Great as a back-up text, but lacking as the primary texbook.

I love the writing style of this textbook, but I found that my students struggled with the focus on specific studies rather that basic concepts and details. I will continue to use this book to guide my lectures, but will use Gazzaniga or Ward as my primary text. I'm teaching a lower-level intro to neuroscience course. I feel like this book would be great for an honors course, but isn't great for a large lecture.

I found that the students in my class were greatly struggling with the material represented in this book. The book does not explain such complex problems in simple terms for the learning, which caused me to spend more time than anticipated teaching the material. I would not recommend this book at all.
