Brilliant writing

This tale is the first in a series of McManus murder mysteries. I remember when I first started it, I was somewhat skeptical - no worry, McManus brought his adept skills to the table and served up a satisfying banquet.
Sheriff Bo Tully was surrounded by a cast of county law enforcement personnel, Blight community members, and several odd, shady, colorful characters. There was convincing character and scene development that touched all the senses. One wonders if the community of Blight might be patterned after Benewah County seat, St. Maries, Idaho, hmm? And Famine, Idaho: perhaps Potlatch or Plummer??
With his precision writing, the author was able to work some of his subtle humor for the McManus-experienced readers. Everyone should read this work!
